You’re ready to start the journey.
You don’t have to do it alone.
Meet Your Therapist
Hi, I’m Emma—an Austin, Texas-based therapist providing one-on-one online therapy for individual adults who are tired of feeling guilty, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves and the world around them. I specialize in helping people experience regaining control of their lives by overcoming challenges with learning to say no, prioritizing themselves without feeling selfish or worrying about what others think of them, and talk to people without breaking down. I work with professionals, high-achievers, and people-pleasers who have spent years carrying the emotional weight of complicated and dysfunctional family dynamics and the pressure to always be “the strong one.”
In therapy with me, you and I work together to get to the root of the issue. Clients that work with me take away practical tools that can be used to overcome challenges within themselves and with others.
I’ve been where you are. Let’s take the journey together.
Why “Roll For Insight Psychotherapy?”
Est. in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Roll For Insight refers to the tabletop roleplaying game (and one of my favorite hobbies) Dungeons & Dragons, and the choice players can make in-game to gain insight into their character’s current situation. My logo further represents this concept by using the shape of the 20-sided dice—or “d20”— players roll to make these choices. In Dungeons & Dragons, players are guided by a “Dungeon Master” that helps them tell their story and directs clients when to roll the dice to gain insight, better perceive their environments, and take initiative in the game.
In therapy, I am like your emotion-journey Dungeon Master, guiding you and staying along your side every step of the way, playing both an observational and interpretive roll for you. And just like a player in D&D, you get the ultimate choice of what your next steps are, not the Dungeon Master, so you always have the final say in therapy.
